Communication Skill Development programme : It is the foundation program aimed at building skills and confidence in English language. For accelerated learning a blend of teaching methodologies such as the ‘Silent method’, ‘Total Physical Response’ and ‘Communicative Language teaching’ are utilized. This session’s deliverables include improving Listening comprehension, clarity in speech, oral fluency, starting small talk, avoiding the common English errors and speech music. The objective of this session is to make the student competent to speak confidently in English anytime anywhere. This program is delivered over 20 hours, in the First Semester. |

Domain Knowledge Programme : The programme is aimed at providing knowledge in various verticals like Insurance, Banking, Telecom, Healthcare etc., to the students to have both technical skills as well as domain background to meet the expectation of the industry. Experts from different domains are invited to elaborate the key points in their domain that equips the students with necessary domain information. |

Career Skill Development Programme : Focusing on building up Career skills that are important and essential in the recruitment process. Participants are given inputs on Interview Techniques, Group Discussions, Resume Preparation and Toughest Interview Techniques. Participants undergo mock interview sessions and mock group discussion’s that are video recorded and played back for feedback and for noting ones blind spots. |

| Student Forum : The GRGSACT Students Forum – Shrishti is a platform to mould the students to lead a successful academic and personal life. The main focus of SHRISHTI is to encourage teamwork and the spirit of self-reliance among the students. The association includes various Forums like IT Forum, Community Forum, Prakriti and Fine Arts Forum to provide the students an exposure to, and participation in social, cultural and community service. |

Cybersprint : The annual Intercollegiate IT meet is a platform for the students to exchange their views on the recent developments of IT arena, conducted in February every year. The events include, paper presentation, word hunt, multimedia presentation, marketing, debugging and quiz. Students from various colleges across the state participate to prove their technical knowledge, creativity, programming skill and marketing skill. |

| Day with Nature : Students take a break from their regular class work to relax and attune with nature regularly through the “A Day with Nature” at places like Barallikkadu, Anaikatti, Thirumurthy hills, Tholampalayam etc. |

Outbound Programme : Students participate in Outdoor Camps for a week and go through a vigorous training in mountaineering, trekking, night navigation and many other adventurous activities that build confidence physically and mentally. . |

Community Oriented Programme : To enable students to develop society oriented attitudes, and to imbibe the spirit of concern for others, many activities are organized by GRGSACT. Middle school children are given computer awareness programmes. Computer Basics, MS Office and Internet usage are taught to the children to make them computer literate. Nearly 300 Peelamedu Government School children, Kulathupalayam Governement School Children are benefited. |

Newsletter : A bi-annual newsletter is published by GRGSACT in the month of March and November every year. It acts as a powerful tool to record the objectives, events, achievements, innovations etc., in chronological order. It enables us to communicate, spotlight, build positive image of the institution and also provides recognition of the faculty and the students of GRGSACT for their good effort by featuring them in the newsletter. |

| Other Activities |
Orientation Programme : It is the programme intended to help the students from diverse disciplines merge into a single stream. The sessions provide insight into GRGSACT values, Learning skills, Curriculum and Evaluation system, Extracurricular Activities, Student Forum and Mentoring system. It also outlines the expectation of the Institution from the student and what they can expect from the Institution. The programme examines the strategies that will give a good start to the student’s postgraduate journey. |

Academia-Industry Interface : Guest lectures, workshops, seminars are organized by inviting experts from industry to give the students an overview of industry practices and help them relate the theory to real life applications. Industry visits are organized regularly to help students gain first hand information regarding functioning of the Industry. Industry experts and learned professors being the part of board of studies designed the tailor-made curriculum, bridges the gap between industry and academia to a large extent and make the fresh graduates industry ready. |

Faculty Development Programme (FDP) : This scheme focuses on enhancing the quality of the academic faculty in technical and research perspective. The new initiatives under this scheme include Internal faculty seminar at regular intervals, reward or incentive to the faculty for publications, motivating the faculty to attend Quality Improvement Programmes conducted by reputed institutions, visits to research labs, encouragement to carry out research work, conducting FDPs and workshops in thrust areas and personality development programmes. |

| Summer Internship : It is an integral part of the curriculum and forms a vital aspect of overall development of the students. Each student has to carry out one summer project of duration 6-8 weeks at the end of I and II year. It is designed to provide an exposure to the students on real life organizational problems and to provide an opportunity to work on them intensively. Also enable the students to understand the organization structure and processes in the practical setting. It provides an opportunity to the students to analyze real life problems and give a computerized solution. Especially the final semester major project of 4 months duration in the organization gives ample opportunity to the sponsoring organization to have a closer assessment of the students for final placement purposes. |
